The Grand Theft Auto franchise has almost made up half of publisher Take-Two’s total revenue for this fiscal year they reveal.
During the conference call Take-Two Chairman Strauss Zelnick wasn’t shy to say the ”phenomenal success” of GTA IV drove the results for fiscal 2008. GTA equals major bling.
GTA took $710 million compared to the entire pot total of $1,537.5 million this fiscal.
”Our record fiscal 2008 results were driven by the phenomenal success of GTA 4 from Rockstar Games. Other top titles for us this year were Midnight Club Los Angeles, NBA 2K9, Carnival Games, Grand Theft Auto catalog titles, and Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution,” announced Zelnick.
