Recently Australian blog site XboxOZ360-gamer claimed that BioWare’s Ray Muzyka muttered confirmations the franchise would only touch the Xbox360, and not the PS3.
This, as a BioWare rep has been keen to point out, is factually inaccurate. With EA’s acquisition of the studio its likely most games will be multi-platform in the future.
According to the blog, Muzyka had told the Australian Xbox360 mag that the studio was focused on bringing ”the Mass Effect trilogy exclusively to the Xbox 360.”
In their defence, XboxOZ360-gamer says that they were merely reiterating what the publication had printed themselves which was:
”Speaking exclusively to 360 at EA’s European Showcase. BioWare CEO Ray Muzyka restated his company’s commitment to bring the Mass Effect trilogy exclusively to the Xbox 360, despite having been brought up by Electronic Arts and analysts claiming it would go multiplatform.”
In any case a BioWare spokesperson issued a statement saying: ”This site is incorrect; Ray did NOT make any such statement regarding any exclusivity plans for the Mass Effect trilogy.”
Well it looks rather bright for PS3 gamers having a touch of Mass Effect in the near future. As long as we PC gamers get a taste of the action you’ll hear no complaints from me.
