First picked up by Czech gaming site Tiscali Games, the preview give details about Warhead’s expected performance, and a sequel.
The possibility of a Crysis 2 depends heavily on Warhead’s performance, according to PC gamer. Whilst Warhead is set after Crysis, the developers stress it’s not a full sequel but rather a stand-alone spin-off.
The preview also claims that the Windows Vista-exclusive DirectX 10 API won’t be required to play the game at higher performance levels. This echoes the developer’s statements that Warhead can be enjoyed on cheaper PC’s
Other features mentioned in the preview include: Improved AI, better organization and combat tactics, at least two new weapons, and new vehicles.
Pegged as Crytek’s last PC-exclusive title, Crysis: Warhead is due out in the autumn.
