Ubisoft have revealed that Massive Entertainment’s Soviet Assault will be arriving on PC Friday next week. You take the role of the Soviets this time.
The game adds six new singleplayer missions and eight new multiplayer maps. Interestingly it will sport voice commands similar to Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy’s EndWar.
World in Conflict: Soviet Assault plays through the eyes of a Soviet officer. The game was also intended for consoles but was later canned on both Xbox 360 and PS3 for not living up to the standards Massive Entertainment wanted to achieve.
Combining headset voice commands and World in Conflict could mean the near ultimate real-time strategy game - until World in Conflict 2 comes out of course…
