BioWare’s Edmonton team will have thirty new hands on deck for Mass Effect 2’s development as EA Montreal drafts in thirty new developers.
BioWare’s new presence will be ”within the existing EA Montreal facilities,” says Ray Muzyka. They’re after artists, animators, designers and other talent to pitch in on the sci-fi RPG.
”Our new presence… will be located within the existing EA Montreal facilities,” BioWare co-founder Ray Muzyka tells Gamasutra. ”It’s great that we have a strong foundation to build out of.”
”We’ll be working together with our friends at EA Montreal,” says Muzyka. ”There’s a great studio here continuing full-force with a whole bunch of really cool, exciting things as well.”
This won’t be affecting projects either currently running at the Montreal studio or BioWare’s other high profile ventures; Dragon Age or Star Wars The Old Republic.
Mass Effect 2 is expected sometime late this year or early next and will be coming to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC all at once now that BioWare flies under the EA banner.
