Microsoft has said that their earlier survey asking users what they’d like a virtual arcade room filled with interactive Avatars to be called was not ”indicative of any planning.”
They dismiss they they’re actually planning to go live with the idea, saying they ”regularly conduct surveys” about products and the like. Sorry, there’ll be no ‘Tower of ROM’ for you.
”We regularly conduct surveys about our products but they’re not indicative of any planning,” a Microsoft representative tells VG247. Some of the names posed for this virtual arcade space were Game Room, RetroCade, Tower of ROM, and Classics LIVE.
A similar survey was conducted by Sony for an arcade room for use in PlayStation Home.
