Director John Woo has announced he’s turning his videogame ‘Stranglehold’, which is a sequel to his Hard Boiled film, into a movie itself.
Woo doesn’t ”have that much time” to make another game, ”even though I want to “ he said. Chow Yun-Fat starred in both projects, likely again.
”I forgot to tell you. We are going to make that into a movie,” Chinese director Woo told Cinematical in an interview, reports Eurogamer.
But there’s no second Stranglehold game in the works. ”No. I don’t have that much time, even though I want to make one again,” he added. The game was a sequel based off the 1992 action flick Hard Boiled, revolving around cop Tequila (Chow Yun-Fat) and his single handed journey to taking down a full blown crime syndicate.
Would you have liked a second Stranglehold, videogamer?
