The Japanese publisher has decided not to follow the herd of publisher sheep a post a financial loss, instead they reveal they made money in ‘08.
So happy are they with being in the green that Namco plan to buyout and take on D3 as full subsidiary, citing reasons that they should stick together in such hostile times as these.
Namco also posted their Top 10 game titles for 2008, along with how many they sold:
Soul Calibur IV - 2,260,000
Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit - 730,000
We Ski - 590,000
Gundam Musou 2 - 590,000
Active Life Outdoor Challenge - 550,000
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3 - 530,000
Super Robot Wars Z - 510,000
Taiko Drum Master - 500,000
Mobile Suit Gundam Gundam VS. Gundam - 440,000
Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 - 420,000
Namco Bandai plan to leverage videogame content from their lineup through D3’s casual games series, and vice versa by including D3’s materials through all Namco ”strategic business units” like amusements, toys and other media.
