Ex-Naughty Dog co-founders Jason Rubin and Andrew Gavin have setup a new social-orientated developer Monkey Gods, along with ex-HBO’s Jason Kay.
1985 developers Rubin and Gavin have been stuck ”working together” for over 25 years, and now they plan on making even more games for iPhone and consoles. Snood, anyone?
”Our first games include Monkwerks, a multiplayer word challenge, and Snood for the iPhone, a re-invention of the original Snood PC game, which is one of the most downloaded and addictive online games ever created,” says Rubin on the Monkey Gods’ website.
Their pedigree stems from Crash Banidcoot, Jak and Daxter fame which were created and continue to this day under Naughty Dog. ”Andy Gavin and I have been working together for 25 years. We started making games in 1985 with a game for the Apple II,” Rubin said.
Their new Snood for iPhone will launch June 1st.
