IO Interactive is known for their mature, gritty and violent adventures with Hitman and Kane & Lynch, but they wanted to try their hands at a more kid friendly title.
Mini Ninjas is ”as much an IOI title” as previous offerings they reassure, but you’ll be following an 11 year-old Ninja, not an emotionless bald killer. It’s for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, DS and PC.
”With 10 years in the bag, many of the developers here have started families and wanted to take a stab at making games that they could enjoy with their kids,” says the Mini Ninja dev.
Players take the role of Hiro, a Mini Ninja with promise enough to become the ultimate Ninja ever. First though, you’ll need to stop a Warlord whose converting animals into his near unstoppable army… hmm, sounds a little familiar… Hiro doesn’t collect rings does he?
It’s got that cartoon thing going for it, and is most definitely a break from IO Interactive’s usual train of thought. Still, Freedom Fighters 2 wouldn’t go a miss guys, just saying.
