According to sources within the tech industry, a report says that vendor ATI has already landed the rights to produce the next-gen GPU components for the Xbox platform.
Microsoft are said to be chuffed with the Xenos GPU and will stick with them, which is great news because it means old game compatibility is likely. No way to know for sure just yet.
”We’ve learned from industry sources that AMD / ATI has already won the GPU deal for the next generation Xbox console,” reports Fudzilla.
Both Microsoft and Sony are adamant in their long-term support of the Xbox 360 and PS3, although Project Natal and the PS3 Wand are, in a way, a console refresher. It’s believed the next Xbox or PlayStation is due sometime in 2013/14. What say you, videogamer?
