Aliens vs. Predator is finally getting its lid lifted off a little as Sega show what Rebellion has been up to on the Aliens campaign, as well as the multiplayer experience.
This is the first glimpse of Aliens gameplay, and has you picking off colonial marines while ‘stocking up’ on civilians to be face hugged. Online has 18-player cross-species battles.
”Leave a frightened civilian to their own devices for too long, though, and they’ll often take the easy way out, popping a quick cap in their own melon, or hugging a grenade to stymie your larder-stocking plans. It’s all quite tense and sinister, much as it should be,” reports Eurogamer.
Aliens will need to be careful as marines aren’t just dumb grunts, but quite savvy when it comes to laying down traps and attempting ambushes against your xenomorphic self.
Multiplayer will also have ‘pure-blood’ matches where species face off against one another, and it’ll also have 4-player marine co-op, where players fend off against waves of aliens.
Aliens vs. Predator is being released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in early 2010.
