EA has confirmed that release date for Need for Speed: Shift as September 17th, the most realistic in the franchise developed by Slightly Mad Studios.
The publisher boasts it ”pushes the genre and delivers something never before seen” in Need for Speed. The game is to arrive slightly later on the 22nd in North America.
”With Need for Speed Shift, we set out to create a racing game that pushes the genre and delivers something never before seen in a Need for Speed title,” said Ea exec Patrick Soderlund.
”By focusing on the driver’s experience through the first-person view, we are able to capture the high-speed intensity and gripping emotions of racing.”
Slightly Mad Studios is comprised of ex-developers from the racing simulator games GT Legends and GTR 2, they worked with NFS dev Black Box. Does a realistic Need for Speed entry get your motor running?
