A US gamer from San Francisco has launched a class action suit against Square Enix, alleging they’ve deceived over the particulars of Final Fantasy XI’s ”monthly fees”.
It’s about them concealing things that should have been ”fully disclosed at points of purchase”, and so they’re seeking $5 million in damages for deceiving 100,000 customers.
It’s all their fault for ”unfair business practices, false advertising and unjust enrichment” claims the class action suit, regarding the sale of Final Fantasy XI.
Square Enix ”lied about or concealed its monthly fees, penalties for late payments, interest, restrictions and other things that should have been fully disclosed at points of purchase” claims plaintiff Esther Leong.
Interesting, and by ‘interesting’ I mean ‘not really’. Throw in how Square Enix has been secretly brainwashing American youth to rebel and buy more Japanese imports with booth babes and maybe, just maybe, things could get ‘real’ interesting.
