1C and Aspyr have announced that the standalone expansion, Men of War: Red Tide, will be in North American shops this fall with a Soviet campaign.
It packs ”more than 20 missions” that surround the WWII antics of Soviet ”Black Coat” marines, and based of the writings of ”Soviet scribe Alexander Zorich.” Excited, comrade?
”The player has direct control of new game units including the Black Coats, new tanks, self-propelled guns, armored trains, landing craft, artillery and new enemy emplaced weapons to capture and use,” blurbs the developer description. Men of War is an action-RTS franchise.
”Fighting during the Black Sea Campaigns of WWII, history buffs and WWII aficionados will recognize theaters of battle such as Odessa, Sevastopol, Theodosia, Eltingen, Nikolaev and Constanta.”
Does a bit of Soviet soldiering sound right for you? Don’t forget this is a standalone expansion so it won’t require the original game.
