It may be time for another development studio to end up in ZeniMax Media’s shopping cart again as the Bethesda parent gets $150m in pocket money.
3 years ago Providence Equity Partners stuffed ZeniMax coffers with $300m. The recent acquisition was of id Software, creators of Quake and Doom.
Who could they swallow next with that kind of green burning a hole in their corporate pocket? ZeniMax counts Splash Damage, Arkane Studios, Bethesda and id Software among their internal development teams.
”Since our original investment in 2007, ZeniMax Media has tripled the size of its development portfolio and assembled an extraordinary library of major game franchises, along with some of the best development talent in the world,” said PEP’s Michael Dominguez. Brink, Fallout: New Vegas, RAGE and Doom 4 are all ZeniMax line-ups.
