Qore is the US based service already on PSN, providing sneak peeks, reviews and demo access. Now Europe and PAL regions get one too.
FirstPlay will release every Thursday on the PlayStation Network for 99p per week, or £8.99 for a three-month subscription package. Previews and reviews are voiced by comedian Lucy Porter, with Network highlights on the HD 720p agenda.
”As PlayStation 3 moves the gaming experience to a more social and competitive online environment through the PlayStation Network, so it becomes critical that we’re offering gamers the very best content and services through this channel,” said SCE UK boss Ray Maguire, reports CVG. OPM subscribers don’t get this service free.
”FirstPlay is a great example of this. Future has an outstanding track record in producing content for gamers that is informed, impartial, relevant and with the right production values, so we see them as a natural partner to work with as we move to on-console media development,” he added.
99p a week is £51.48 a year, with 3 month subs at £35.96 annually.
Sony’s US Qore service has received criticism of late for not offering enough exclusive access content like demos, so let’s hope lessons have been learnt for FirstPlay. Does this sound like something you’d give a try, PS3 gamer? Below is the promo.
