The Xbox 360 may be getting its own ‘slim’ edition at some point, at least that’s what surfaced photos of a redesigned console hint at.
Sources claim that a new CPU/GPU combined chipset design for Xbox 360 has completed testing in China, with other overhauls thrown in.
This could be some legitimate leak, like those of the PS3 Slim that hit the Internets, or some elaborate hoax designed to feed off the Natal SKU theories floating around. Kotaku has a shot of the alleged redesign for the Xbox 360 motherboard.
Considering that Sony has managed to relaunch the PS3 with its Slim line, why then can’t Microsoft do the same? It could tie-in nicely with Project Natal’s launch. Reduced size means reduced cost, right? Microsoft are all about the cost to consumers.
Are you hoping there’s a grain of truth to all this, videogamer?
