So far, the MMO has been exclusive to North America. Eurogamer are reporting that Turbine, the guys behind Lord of the Rings Online (which, coincidently, is also going free-to-play) is taking over the operation from Codemasters.
”We are very excited to announce that Turbine will be expanding its operations and will assume full control of Dungeons & Dragons Online in Europe,” Turbine said.
”Beginning 20th August, all European players can visit the official site to download and play the English version of DDO Unlimited with no monthly subscription required. Turbine’s new German and French service will enter beta before the end of the year.”
Excited? Worried? Not bothered at all? Well it’s always nice to see things make it across the pond anyway, no matter what they are.
