It seems Activision blogger Dan Amrich has confirmed that the publishing powerhouse plans to release three Call of Duty titles in the next two years:
“As for COD, they’ve confirmed three games in the next two years. Seeing as how there is a pattern of one new COD game every year, this is one new COD game from one new developer, and in a different genre from the core games we’ve seen,” he said, in a Facebook thread of all places.
Treyarch’s Vietnam-based instalment will be arriving this year, and despite all of the problems Infinity Ward’s been having, they are still going to release Modern Warfare 3 next year, apparently. Newcomer Sledgehammer Games will be providing the third title, which will be an action/adventure type project.
I don’t know about you, but that’s a little too much COD for my tastes.
