The Sierra Madre is a fabled ‘City of Gold’ and the Brotherhood of Steel is interested in its Old World technology. We get a radio broadcast to follow.
This is how the other DLCs for Fallout 3 worked in that we were put on the right track for the new content by way of a radio signal to follow. Simply fire up a save game for New Vegas and the radio frequency gets added automatically.
”The Sierra Madre faded from the history books, only occasionally being seen in posters across the wastes, until it took on mythic ghost story status… a supposed ‘City of Gold’ in the Mojave Wasteland where all the treasures of the Old World were rumoured to be held,” said senior designer Chris Avellone in the Bethesda Newsletter.
”It was kept alive as a late-night saloon story by prospectors who’d claimed to have found maps leading there… and were willing to part with the ‘map’ for a few caps. Or a drink. Or a warm place to sleep.” Father Elijah and the Brotherhood of Steel are after it.
We get to meet the Ghost People of this ‘lost city’ who wear sinister looking hazmat masks with green glowing eyes. They seem to have a bit of a bear trap surprise for uninvited guests going by the only released teaser shot of Dead Money.
The Xbox 360 exclusive DLC releases December 21st for 800 MSP.
