It’s to reward ”patient” gamers say the studio. It will be free for a ”limited time only” though (30 days) and also includes new game challenges.
“We’re delighted the Online Co-op is ready and going live – as a thank you to the patient Xbox gamers, and for a limited time only we will be giving away our first DLC pack for free. Download it, have a go and while you’re there try the online co-op mode, it’s great fun,” said Darrell Gallagher, General Manager of Crystal Dynamics.
The DLC is called ‘All the trappings’ and features a brand new game area to overcome with puzzles, exploration and combat promised. It’s free for ”30 days to XBLA players.” The first piece of downloadable content launches tomorrow, October 17th.
A PC and PS3 update adding in online co-op is also planned but will be arriving later. It’s unclear if those two camps will receive the DLC for free also.
