Major Nelson reveals Marketplace content for next two weeks
Major Nelson has revealed the upcoming downloadable content from the 10th April through to the 22nd April. The biggest highlight includes the second major expansion for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Uprising.
Crystal: "No plans to do anything" with Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
Tomb Raider's Crystal Dynamics enjoyed their time creating the off-shoot 'Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light', but it appears to have been a one-time thing. It was a "great opportunity to explore things". However, Crystal has just re-established Lara Croft in their reboot which launched yesterday. It's this Lara that they'll be focusing on moving forward after this "brief detour into her origins".
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light now free-to-play through CoreOnline
Square Enix has added Crystal Dynamics' Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light to their cloud gaming service CoreOnline, meaning the action platformer is now free-to-play, joining Hitman. It's the "perfect mix of pick-up-and-play and challenging single player", says Square Enix. Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light explores the British icon outside the Tomb Raider series.

The upcoming content for Xbox Live Marketplace is light, but what it lacks in quantity, it makes up for in quality. Aside from the two Summer of Arcade titles coming in the next two weeks, Wreckateer and Deadlight, there are half-off savings on Lara Croft: Guardian of Light and Tomb Raider Underworld downloadable content.
Crystal Dynamics joined by God of War's Cory Barlog
Square Enix's house of all things Lara Croft - Crystal Dynamics - has been joined by God of War director Cory Barlog. He'll be involved in a new Tomb Raider project in San Francisco. There's also a "yet to be announced new title." Barlog was writer/director for God of War 2 and creative director for Chains of Olympus, and steered Ghost of Sparta's narrative.
