Star Wars The Old Republic is clearly labelled on the leaked schedule for Xbox 360 releases that landed in the hands of VG247, courtesy of a GAME source. The release date is down as ”TBC-2011”. The PC version is expected next year.
A number of developers have in the past listed a console version in development alongside their PC efforts, only to fall foul of canning later. One of the most recent to lose its console debut is Cryptic Studios’ Champions Online, as the team abandon the plans.
Should EA and BioWare pull this off it would be a huge coup, and could land them a flood of subscriptions in a market yet untapped by a western MMO. Check out the second developer web documentary video below - it talks story and setting.
