US retailers are cashing in on the impending Microsoft price hike of Xbox Live by selling subscription cards on the cheap, which is great for us.
Right now you can snap up as many as you like of the 12-month Xbox Live cards, and they only expire when used. New pricing November 1st.
The beginning of November is when the new subscription pricing comes into effect for Xbox Live, and even Microsoft is offering a limit-time offer to get a year’s renewal for just $40. It’s almost like they know we don’t want to pay more than we have to… weird.
Online retailers don’t want to miss out on the crazed rushed for pre-November pricing so they’ve started making sure they can match Microsoft’s offer. Newegg.com knows it’ll be popular and limits 2 per order - obviously they remember eBay exists.
Are you a subscriber to Xbox Live Gold? A full-year will cost $59.99 from November.
