Specifically they were nosing around Dr. D where Happy Feet 2 is being made. The visit was ”unsettling” as Dr. D staffs former Team Bondi developers who quit.
Rockstar Games has reportedly sworn to never publish another Team Bondi videogame, which is probably why they seem to be cosying up to KMM.
”Brendan McNamara was seen walking through the buildings of Dr. D yesterday, where Happy Feet 2 is being made,” said the Dr. D insider, reports Kotaku.
”Because Dr. D is filled with former Team Bondi employees who left due to the abusive work conditions,” the source continued, “this unexpected visit was quite… unsettling — to put it mildly.” Team Bondi is under the spotlight for abusive work conditions.
KMM’s George Miller is said to be very impressed with Team Bondi and especially Brendan McNamara for not sacrificing his artistic vision for L.A. Noire despite deadlines.
“The word is going round that Team Bondi is being folded into KMM studios, Team Bondi is pretty much doomed after the scandal and can’t find any new supporters, so by doing this they can hide their name,” continued the Dr. D source.
KMM studios is currently lead by Cory Barlog who said he was working on a Mad Max game earlier in 2011, to be designed in parallel with George Miller’s movie. However resources have shifted to Happy Feet 2 so it can meet a very strict deadline.
