THQ has revealed that the Exterminatus DLC for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine will be released for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on 25th October.
The free DLC adds a four-player online co-op mode, which sees Space Marines battle against the Forces of Choas and Orks. You can choose to play as a Devastator, Assault or Tactical Marine class. Perks unlocked in the competitive multiplayer can be used to gain an advantage over your enemies in co-op.
Two scenarios will be available with the Exterminatus DLC; Escape from Kalkys Facility and Assault on Hab Center Andreas. You’ll be pleased to know that co-op play will improve your multiplayer ranking too.
Future DLC is planned for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, but the firm isn’t sure if it’ll be free or paid for content.
”We’re working on some other DLC.” producer Andy Lang told Eurogamer. ”There will be a free component to them as well as some paid components”.
