Focus Home Interactive has announced that its adventure game mystery starring the world’s most famous sleuth, Sherlock Holmes: The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, will not only be released in early 2012, but it will also be going multi-platform. The game will now be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in addition to the PC platform.
The adventure game has experienced a long delay, and Focus Home revealed the reason why: the graphic engine was swapped out for a new, more modern one, which will support more detailed environments, foliage and textures as well as more advanced character models and personalization details.
The Testament of Sherlock Holmes features an unusual plot in which Dr. Watson begins to think that Holmes is losing his mind, as the private eye begins to show signs of insanity as he engages in strange behavior.
The publisher released new screenshots showing off the new graphic engine. Players who are interested in the game can check it out on the official site here.
