One was confirmed by Wilson to be a new American football game that’s ”fundamentally different” than the current Madden and NCAA Football titles. It’s doubtful that it will be Arena Football League, since EA tried that before and it did not resonate with gamers. NFL Head Coach was a critical success but the last game was released 3 years ago. Street Football is a likely choice.
Meanwhile, EA Sports has released games like Cricket and Rugby outside of the US, and they might be considering seeing if American audiences will latch onto international sports; FIFA was a popular game even before the United States started making headway in the World Cup.
It’s probably EA Sports will make its announcement at E3 2011.
