Warner Bros Interactive Australia today announced to a nation of disappointed gamers that the appeal against the refused classification (RC) decision for the Mortal Kombat reboot has failed, and that the game is effectively banned from the country.
In a statement, Warner Bros stated: ”We’re obviously extremely disappointed that the refused classification decision has been upheld by the Classification Review Board. We want to thank the thousands of Mortal Kombat fans in Australia and around the world who have voiced their support during the appeal process.”
The R18+ rating has yet to be approved, and adult Australian gamers will have to buy their copies on import - as if prices there weren’t already high.
