UK retailer GAME announced plans for a videogame consumer show event at the NEC in Birmingham for later this year, taking place September 16-18.
It’s ”not a money-spinning venture” but is designed to get new games to consumers before release. The announcement came from the BAFTA awards.
The retailer calls the event ‘Gamefest’. ”We promise this is not a money spinning venture,” said GAME managing director Martin Gibbs. It launches in mid-September at the Birmingham NEC. Other retailers have tried similar events but failed in the past.
