Whoever this media partner is they were thought to have abandoned console publishing. Brink’s engine will be polished and these ”well-known characters” will be ‘laid over top’.
The report says that UK studio Splash Damage isn’t circling the drain like so many thought they would be after Brink’s lacklustre success - a multiplayer shooter with objectives.
”…the company has managed to sign at least one unannounced project for a major entertainment brand. The online multiplayer technology is already in place, and once a collection of well-known characters are laid over the top of an even more polished Brink engine there’s going to be a lot of excitement from genre fans,” say IndustyGamers.
The new unannounced game is based off ”one of the biggest American pop culture brands of the last 50 years,” but the level of backing from it’s media partner will make all the difference. Are Disney and Splash Damage partners?
