The HaloFest event at Penny Arcade Expo has revealed that Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition will be adding Terminals to the game, which will provide backstory to the Halo universe, as they did in Halo 3 and Halo: Reach.
However, unlike the terminals in previous Halo games, these Terminals will eschew pure text for cinematics to tell the story. The number of Terminals in the game depend on the difficulty level the user has selected.
Two new skulls were announced for Halo: CE Anniversary - in addition to the Grunt Funeral Skull that is given away with GameStop preorders, the Malfunction Skull will cause the HUD to flicker in and out, while the BOOM skull doubles the damage radius of explosives.
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition will be released in November 15 for $39.99 USD.
