We asked, among other things, when can we see Swarm land on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. They’re waiting right now on MS and Sony.
There’s no concrete date yet for Swarm as producer Joel DeYoung reminds us they’re at the mercy of Microsoft and Sony’s certification process. See the full video Q&A here.
”Well we haven’t announced the release date or the price yet - that info should be coming out really soon. With the release date… a little known fact with XBLA and PSN games we actually don’t know our release date until very shortly before it,” explained DeYoung.
”The game’s done right now, it’s in submission with Microsoft and Sony and so that means they’re reviewing it and making sure it sort of fulfils all their technical requirements and as soon as they get back to us on that and we sort of pass, then they’ll tell us when we’ll be able to release it and we’ll let you know.”
Swarm releases on Xbox 360 and PS3 soon. Hothead Games will break the news of its official release date via twitter, Facebook on the official Swarm website. In case you’re wondering ‘what the heck is Swarm?’ - check out the blurb below.
”Swarm is an action-platformer from the game creators at Hothead Games. In Swarm you take control of 50 utterly fearless Swarmites and drive them through an intense, entertaining and often suicidal battle of survival.”
”Run, bash, huddle, boost, stack, jump, push and throw your way through gauntlets of death and destruction in an attempt to collect valuable DNA and ensure that at least one Swarmite survives.” As gamers have short attention spans… enjoy the trailer.
