Remedy Entertainment has announced that a new remake of their 1996 top-down racer Death Rally will be hitting Steam on the 3rd August. This particular remake is a port of the iOS game released this year. The game had been originally remade in 2009 for PC.
According to Remedy exec Matias Myllyrinne, ”Our PC fans have been clamoring for Death Rally and it’s time we finally bring it there. It’s been fantastic getting the game back to PC with the help of our development partners, Mountain Sheep and Cornfox & Bros.; Death Rally has come full circle now.”
Despite being a port, the game has been rebuilt from the ground up with a new rendering engine, and will have an additional track called Savo, as well as a nod to fans of the series with the return of Shadow Man from the the 1996 original.
Death Rally will run players $9.99 USD on Steam.
