Publisher Black Bean Games has announced that Italy-based developer Milestone Games is developing WRC 3 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game is being developed from the ground up, using an all-new graphics and game engine.
The new engine, the “Spikengine”, will realistically render model lighting, particle effects and other real-world characteristics, while the cars themselves will look and behave more realistically than ever. The pre-alpha screenshots show off some of the environments to be found in the game.
The game will feature all of the rallies that are in the upcoming 2012 World Rally Championship calender, including more than 50 real-life WRC teams and drivers, alongside Class 2 and Class 3 series. WRC 3 will also include Super Special Stages for instant gratification.
An unrelated WRC 3 for the PlayStation 2 was released in 2004, published by Sony and developed by Motorstorm developer Evolution Studios.
