CCP has announced in its official EVE Online blog that there will be a host of changes coming to the space sim MMO mostly involving barges, exhumers and cargo capacity.
As is usual for EVE Online, most of the blog post is spreadsheet analysis of changes involving tonnage and space occupation, but the main gist of the changes is that players can expect a new mining frigate, current mining frigates will no longer be mining frigates once the update releases and there will be a reduced skill requirements for barges and exhumers.
According to the blog, “The goal here is to allow players to choose a barge that fits their specific play style rather than lead them on a journey from the worst barge to the best one.”
Beta testing continues for the PlayStation 3 shooter and tie-in, DUST 514.
