Chief composer Sam Hulick teased there’s ”high potential for tears,” in the new content as he focused on ”piano and muted strings” for one piece. Actor Seth Green contributes to DLC this time.
This is the first time the Robot Chicken creator Green has been called back in for Mass Effect 3 DLC, who of course plays the ever sarcastic Normandy pilot ‘Joker’ .
”It’s all hands on deck for this one. Pretty much every Mass Effect 3 DLC writer here in Edmonton is involved,” announced BioWare designer Jos Hendriks on the official forum. That puts eight writers on the job. The studio’s chief composer Sam Hulick also returns to work his magic, having side-stepped both Leviathan and Omega add-ons.
”What I’m up to lately: working on an unannounced Mass Effect 3 DLC!” tweeted Hulick. ”More details on this coming later on.” He teasingly added: ”Tossing in piano and muted strings for this one particular piece. High potential for tears.”
BioWare producer and voice director Caroline Livingstone spilled the Normandy crew beans that Seth Green has been back for more lines. ”@SethGreen Thank you for yet another fantastic session. And thank you for being such a kind person,” she tweeted. ”You are lovely!”
Kaiden Alenko’s Raphael Sbarge has also said he was back in the recording studio for Mass Effect 3 at the end of October, but no squadmates were included in Omega so it appears it’s all for the next release. BioWare has released Leviathan and Omega so far as major story add-ons, with Extended Cut also significantly altering the narrative ending.
