It uses the GlassBox engine to power the game which is ”revolutionary simulation” tech letting us toy with ”individual Sims lives” whilst managing a whole city. Collector’s Edition? Of course!
This is EA - of course there’s a Limited Edition, and a Deluxe Edition. We get to inject some super hero and super villain madness, characters, items and even crime waves.
Yes, a lot sure is set to change for SimCity as a franchise next year. Already the new Maxis title is available for pre-order through EA’s Origin service.
”Create the city you desire and make the choices that shape your city and power the Sims within it. Every decision, big or small, has real consequences,” blurbed Origin.
”Invest in heavy industry and your economy will soar - but at the expense of your Sims’ health as pollution spreads. Implement green technology and improve your Sims’ lives while risking higher taxes and unemployment.”
”Team up with your friends to solve global challenges: launch a space shuttle, reduce carbon emissions or build magnificent wonders. Compete on global and regional leaderboards to be the richest, the dirtiest, the happiest or the best place to visit!” The Deluxe Edition includes British, French and German city sets as a bonus.
The Limited Edition doesn’t get those but does offer mystery items, new characters, crimes waves and a super hero HQ and evil villain lair. The Deluxe Edition includes all these features. What are the demands of our PC rigs?
