Burnout developer Criterion Games has posted two new classified ads looking for a Senior VFX Engineer and a Cinematic Cut Scene Artist for a new, unnamed AAA racing game. Whatever the game is, Criterion aims to give it cutting-edge graphics and exciting cutscenes.
According to the classified for the Senior VFX Engineers, Criterion ”has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior VFX Programmer to join the Criterion team and take our VFX systems to the next level, developing graphics and visual effects for a AAA racing title”, and wants “to deliver killer entertainment experiences with believable, cutting edge VFX and graphics.”
For the Cinematic Cut Scene Artist, the developer wants to have ”exciting, dynamic sequences”, ”compelling in-game cinematic action sequences” including ”terrifying jumps, insane crashes and epic car chases.”
The last two racing titles developed for PC and major consoles were Burnout Paradise and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.
