It seems the UK videogame market is not the only one experiences a depression in sales, as the NPD has announced that videogame sales in the US in February 2012, amounting to $1.06B, is down 20% in a year-to-year comparison with February 2011. Console sales are down 18% in year-to-year, while console game sales are down 23%. Videogame accessories are down 16%.
While Final Fantasy XIII-2 was the bestselling title in February 2012 in the UK, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 continued to top the charts in the US, with the former coming in second. Only Electronic Arts enjoyed more than one game in the top 10.

NBA 2K12 continued to enjoy strong sales several months after its October 2011 release, while Battlefield 3 toppled all the way to 10th, a start contrast with its surge over Modern Warfare 3 in the UK.
