Mercenary Ops uses a Gears of War-like cover system and active reload mechanic, but also utilizing a precise control and aiming that only a keyboard and mouse can feature. The game will also feature destructible cover, an encumbrance system and maps designed with multiple threat vectors to add some spice to the typical stop-and-pop gameplay typical of third person shooters.
The game will also feature 16 player competitive multiplayer with several game modes, as well as a co-op Horde mode that supports teams of up to 8 players.
Mercenary Ops also features an array of customization and experience point-based advancement options. Experience can be earned from killing enemies and completing difficult mission objectives. Players can earn weapon and equipment upgrades - some can only be obtained in select game modes.
Yangpei Games also released a trailer which can be seen in the video below.
