Sega has announced that Creative Assembly’s 2008 console hack-and-slash game Viking: Battle for Asgard is now available on PC digitally with Steam integration.
Viking: Battle for Asgard can basically be described as “Dynasty Warrior with Vikings”, with huge battlefields of hundreds of combatants slicing into each other.
As to be expected with a PC port of a four year old game, Creative Assembly has ramped up the graphics to be up to speed with modern hardware, which includes high anti-aliasing and screen space anti-occlusion, among other lightning effects.
The original 2008 version of Viking: Battle for Asgard earned a satisfactory 7.3/10 score in Strategy Informer’s review.
