Bethesda Softworks has confirmed earlier reports that Tango Gameworks and director Shinji Mikami are working on a ‘survival horror’ game under the codename ‘Zwei’
”As a master of the ‘survival horror’ genre, Shinji Mikami is committed to making a game that is the realization of pure survival horror, an experience which he defines as one that pushes the limits of fear and exhilaration. He and his team at Tango are committed to attaining this vision.” said a Bethesda spokesperson.
“A true ‘survival horror’ game is one in which the player confronts and overcomes fear,” says Shinji Mikami, president and creative director for Tango Gameworks. “I’ve found my focus and once again I’m striving for pure survival horror. I am being very hands-on in the development of this game to ensure that the quality is there. Rest assured.”
No platforms have been reavealed, although we can take a guess at Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for release in 2013. Nothing has been confirmed yet on a release date or what the game will be named, but we’ll keep you updated.
