Activision has announced the release dates for the sequel to its popular collectible figurine kids game, Skylanders Giants. The game will be released on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in the UK on the 19th October, and arriving two days later in North America on the 21st.
The game takes the original Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure figurines mechanic where a gamer will place a figurine on a sensor, which will spawn that character in-game, and has added oversized giant figurines which are similarly large in-game.
One of the new characters is a giant bee named Swarm. According to Activision, Swarm ”is a prince who lived among his 9000 family members in a hive until he grew extraordinarily large and no longer fit, at which point he went off to explore the world and got caught up in the battle between the Giants and the Arkeyans.”
Along with the description, Activision released a trailer showing the character off.
