An update is now online for the Xbox 360 version of Silent Hill: Downpour.
The new patch does the following fixes:

Improved frame rate

Fixed save game system

Fixed bugs in “Homeless” side quest/mission

Several other performance enhancements/bug fixes
Owners of the PlayStation 3 version can expect a patch in the near future as well.
