Publisher Paradox Interactive and developer Neocore Games have announced that the sequel to their 2010 surprise hit, King Arthur II, is now available for download.
King Arthur II is referred to by the publisher as a “roleplaying wargame” with the player dealing with strategic planning as well as tactical battles with real-time strategy elements. The game features larger scale battles than ever before, with knights, archers and even the occasional dragon.
The roleplaying elements come with the player taking on the role of King Arthur, who has become the Maimed King in the latter part of his career. An expanded morality chart and a new dark fantasy plotline results in a malleable story as Arthur attempts to repair Britannia, which has fractured to the point of breaking.
The game is available for $39.95 USD from GamersGate. A 1.7GB demo is also available directly from Strategy Informer, as well as a preview.
