Developer Flying Squirrel Entertainment has announced that they will be officially releasing a fan-made mod for their strategy title Mount & Blade: Warband. The premium DLC, “Napoleonic Wars”, will add over 220 unique units including engineers, artillery and… musicians in this 19th century era mod. The game also includes a “Commander Battles” mode in which the player is put in charge of a squad of bots.
”We re-made it completely from scratch: bigger, better and more,” developer Flying Squirrel Entertainment explained in a forum post on Taleworlds’ mod.
This isn’t the first time Flying Squirrel adopted a fan-made mod for Mount & Blade and released it to the public. Mount & Blade: With Fire and Sword, a standalone expansion which was released last year, was also based on a mod.
