Team Bondi’s Whore of the Orient survived the liquidation of the studio and absorption into KMM, and just to prove it did some gameplay footage has now leaked online; about a minute’s worth of footage.
The game’s development had stalled after a lack of funds, and lay-offs at KMM, but back in June the Australian government granted them $200k. Whore of the Orient is due mid-2015.
The talent behind Whore of the Orient was of course responsible for the Rockstar Games published L.A. Noire, of which the IP remains in Rockstar’s hands.
Whore of the Orient was announced back in 2011 and is in development for PC, Xbox One and PS4. The leaked footage below, courtesy of VideoGamer.com, appears to be gameplay from an alpha build. KMM is reportedly still searching for a publisher to back the project, which is written and directed by Brendan McNamara.
