According to the developer, the new version will include naval warfare, drivable siege engines with gunners and drivers, 3 types of bombs, 4 types of arrows, mines and kegs, factories and infrastructure building. It will also include two new game modes, Team Deathmatch and Take the Halls; the devs also promise even more modes including Capture the Flag and Zombies.
The game takes many cues from Minecraft as well, as players can affect the landscape in a similar way, as crafting can create, for instance, fire arrows. Players who purchase the beta will be allowed to access the game engine and scripting as well.
